Amazon has pursued sports streaming rights -- particularly those with international appeal such as rugby, golf and tennis -- in recent months. Those sports could help give it an edge in a market where it trails Netflix. Time Inc. is launching PetHero, a program where members can get pet toys and products, along with discounts on pet health care. The program is part of the company's shift to mine its data for new business opportunities. The latest media companies in Germany to challenge the market dominance of the duopoly: broadcasters. Two of the country's biggest have formed an alliance with an ISP to create a unified login service for consumers, aiming to make it easier for people to control the data media and advertising businesses have from them. Since premiering last fall, E!'s first Snapchat Discover show "The Rundown" has aired 70 episodes with an average of 8 million viewers. Now, E! is creating more Discover shows -- its next one starring Kylie Jenner. From Glossy: The global luxury market has slowed to a projected annual 2 to 4 percent through 2020, leading brands to look to e-commerce in China -- where they historically haven't sold products online.
