Click here to Unsubscribe from this list. I apologize in advance for the lack of flair in this email. I am currently on an plane and the WiFi is not cooperating with me when I try to add images to the email. A few weeks ago I started sending a weekly newsletter to a list of emails that I had not done a good job keeping in touch with. Over 22,000 people who had taken one of my online courses, worked with me, or communicated with me at some point were on that list. Now having sent four newsletters I have noticed that an average of 48% of the people who receive it, open it. Actually pretty impressive. But that means there is 52% of that email is that is either busy, or I am pestering. Of the 48% of you who opened the email, many did respond to the questions I asked and I appreciate that. I have some big plans moving forward, but before I start sharing them I want to make sure I am not bothering those of you who are not interested. Here is what you can expect going forward:My goal for 2020 is to work on my 2020 Vision. That may sound funny being that I wear glasses already, but I'm refering to our vision for the next decade. If you are like me, we are stretched too thin and in too many different directions. It's hard to be effective when we have too many things pulling at us. I am guilty of bringing many of those things on myself, how about you? I want to make sure you are getting loads of value from the emails I send you so if you are interested in taking things to the next level next year, you will want to stay subscribed. If that sounds abnoxious to you, please unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of this email. You may also notice that this email looks different than the previous emails. I changed providers. I was using Revue, which I really liked, but Revue didn't have many features that would help me in making sure I am communicating best with you. I switched to ConvertKit and have spent the last week learning their system. How I'm Going to Help YouI determined a while ago that my calling circled around life optimization. I used to like the idea of lifestyle design, because it was sexy and everybody doing it was traveling and living an Instagram feed worthy life. I quickly realized that I had already designed the major areas of my life. I had a career I had been building for years. I started a family and now have four kids. It is easy to feel trapped and resent your work and family if it doesn't align with the "lifestyle design" image you have build up in your mind. Does that mean I have it all figured out? No way! That is the beauty of this experiment. I'm chasing my vision in real time and sharing my progress along the way. It will be fun and kind of scary, but I think it's the only way to share what works and what doesn't, right now! Most people wait until later in life to share their "success secrets." By then, they are usually outdated. I've wasted a ton of my time reading their books. I want to see what it looks like to do this in real time and share as things are happening through this email, my podcast, and YouTube channel. I am starting by changing the name of this email to the Sunday Dispatch. It will also go out on Sundays if you didn't already assume that 🙃 The Sunday Dispatch will include actionable steps you can take to optimize your life and create more freedom. Here are some ideas I am working on: Identifying our purpose and working towards fleshing that out into something real. Building new habits and breaking old ones through tracking progress. Becoming more productive people by optimizing our mind and using productivity tools to do and achieve more. Continuing to challenge myself and share my progress so we can challenge each other and be accountable to each other. Continue to develop my vision so I can share what works and what didn't. We're all in this together. Improving mental and physical health. If you are like me, you don't have a lot of friends thinking outside of the box like this. We need to surround ourselves with people who are challenging themselves so it rubs off on us and encourages us to do the same in our own lives. We can't go at it alone. I'll share a bit more with you this Sunday. The Dispatch will be short as I am currently traveling with my wife to attend the wedding of a friend of ours. I look forward to connecting soon! This WeekI was quite busy this week. I was able to edit four videos and get them uploaded to my YouTube channels.
