At SNV, under our Balancing Benefits approach, we work to initiate household dialogue and build equal income and business opportunities. In this way, both women and men become 'bold for change'. Nelusigwe's path to becoming a successful business woman


In Tanzania, almost 40% of teenagers marry before they reach the age of 18, which usually results in their dropping out of school. But Nelusigwe, OYE participant, decided to #beboldforchange.


Unilever, Agventure & SNV sign Memorandum


We have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Unilever and Agventure, aiming to support Kenyan farmers in adopting conservation agriculture & in doubling Kenya’s canola oil production by the end of 2017.




Women drive adoption of improved cookstoves in Rwandan villages


One cooperative in the Muhanga district, Rwanda, is fully sold out to renewable energy technologies. The awakening came through the president, Epiphania Mukarubariza. Now, improved cookstoves are transforming the lives of the members' households.

Making FSM an integral part of sanitation service delivery


Worldwide, over 2 billion people rely on on-site sanitation. Most households do not empty their septic tanks regularly or safely. And when they do, the waste gets dumped into the environment. Sustainable solutions to the issue were discussed at the recent Faecal Sludge Management conference in India.
