Luis Vega, National Research Award 2021

The Ministry of Science and Innovation has recognised the work of the UPV/EHU professor in the area of Mathematics and Information and Communication Technologies

 

Julio Rey Pastor National Prize in the area of Mathematics and Information and Communication Technologies has been awarded to Luis Vega González, Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of the Basque Country and coordinator of the Analysis of Partial Differential Equations area and Principal Researcher of the Severo Ochoa accreditation of the Basque Centre for Applied Mathematics – BCAM.

New Bridges between Mathematics and Data Science conference held in Valladolid comes to its end

Different personalities from the world of mathematics, machine learning and data science met between 8 and 11 November.
 

BCAM participates in the first consortium meeting of the Artificial Intelligence for Sustainable Energy Transition (IA4TES) project coordinated by Iberdrola

The researchers Santiago Mazuelas (BCAM – Ikerbasque), Vincenzo Nava (BCAM-Tecnalia) and David Pardo (BCAM – UPV/EHU – Ikerbasque) will be part of the project together with seventeen other entities.

The researcher and group leader currently holds the Jean-Morley Chair at the Centre International de Recontres Mathématiques (CIRM).

Dr. Luz Roncal and Prof. Carlos PĂ©rez Moreno are the principal investigators of the project “Harmonic Analysis and Partial Differential Equations” (HAPDE) of the R+D+i 2020 – Modalities “Research Challenges” and “Knowledge Generation” of the State Research Agency.

BCAM participates in the LICI project, Liquid Crystals and Interactions in which Prof. Arghir Zarnescu is the principal investigator
The LICI project belongs to the “research challenges” category of the National R&D&I programme 2020. For the principal investigator, “the selection of the LICI project is a recognition of the work done by the Applied Analysis group”.
