2017 BBGV ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING (AGM)

The BBGV AGM will take place at 4.30pm on Tuesday 30 May 2017 at:

HCMC: Sofitel Plaza Hotel, 17 Le Duan, District 1
Hanoi: Hilton Hanoi Opera Hotel, 1 Le Thanh Tong, Hoan Kiem District

All BBGV members are welcome to attend the AGM. Please see the attached Notice of AGM for information on AGM and agenda.

Standing for Election

If you are interested in running as a Member for the BBGV Board 2017-18 or would like to nominate someone else, please fill out the attached Nomination Form and return it to [email protected] by 12:00 noon on Monday 22nd May.

• New candidates are required to submit a short bio (max 250 words), a CV along with a photograph.
• For existing Board Members, a written supporting statement should be provided on the length of service, BBGV responsibilities and past Board meetings attended (no more than 250 words).

Please note that the expectation of being a BBGV Board Member include, but is not limited to, attendance at monthly Executive Board meetings, and actively helping to develop one of the BBGV's five core strategic themes – Business Centre; Business and Social Events; Charity; Governance and Finance; and Membership and Sponsorship. It is expected the commitment will amount to 2-4 hours per week on average. Board members who are unable to meet these commitments or miss three consecutive Board meeting without good cause are expected to resign from the Board.

Voting Rights

Only Ordinary Individuals (1 vote) and Ordinary Corporate members (2 votes the nominated voting member) are allowed to vote on the election of new Board Members. Ordinary members are UK registered companies and/or UK citizens.

If you are unable to attend the AGM, you can cast your vote via online voting. Details of this service will be sent a week prior to the AGM.
Postal Forms will be not be available as there is online voting.

Timeline:

9 May 2017: Notice of AGM and Commence Nomination Submission
16 May 2017: Reminder of nomination process/submission
22 May 2017 (Noon): Close of Nomination Submission
23 May 2017: Voting starts (email sent to all eligible Ordinary members with details on how to vote
30 May 2017 (Noon) – Voting closes
30 May 2017 (4.30-5.30pm) - AGM followed by networking drinks
