A Baton Rouge man faces charges after his 5-year-old daughter died from injuries he told authorities she sustained from an accident at the family's home, police told our reporter Elyse Carmosino Thursday. Here's the story.

Kolache Kitchen eyes Lafayette

The founder of Baton Rouge-based Kolache Kitchen said he’s franchising the breakfast eatery and has received interest to open locations in the Lafayette area and on the north shore. "Our goal this year is to lock down one or two franchise deals," Will Edwards told our business editor, Tim Boone. "We hope to open by the end of the year or early next year."
