Ex-president of LSU weighs in on Wade

A former president of LSU was on the radio this morning, talking about this weekend's firing of basketball coach Will Wade. F. King Alexander told Jim Engster on WRKF's Talk Louisiana show that LSU didn't have enough evidence to fire Wade three years ago over allegations that Wade paid recruits.

Alexander also said there were a number of people who supported Wade through his suspension three years ago, and that he didn't understand the "Free Will Wade" movement in 2019.

"Free him from what? From his payment of players?"

Fish waste firing

Here's a story that you shouldn't read over lunch. A former employee of Daybrook Fisheries says she was fired after she reported environmental hazards she had come across. Karen Davis says the company's plant at Empire regularly would discharge a smelly slurry of fish guts (and worse) into canals and the Mississippi River.
