I had a couple avocados that had been in the fridge for a few extra days. I thought they might be a bit too old, they weren't, but I was committed to trying to make quick bread. I found this recipe on the tablespoon.com site and then changed it up a tiny bit. If I make it again I will definitely add chopped walnuts. The batter had a delightful flowery aroma and the bread itself is delicious.

When preparing food, I try to present my dishes as "pretty" as I can with what I have have on hand. Rather than just throwing some delicious deviled eggs on a plate, I line my tray with lettuce, spinach or whatever green I have.

Being part Japanese, I grew up consuming a lot of buckwheat in both noodle and tea form. Eventually, I started getting tired of buckwheat everything, until I realized I felt better with less gluten in my life. The problem with going gluten-free is sometimes the food is taste-free! Enter my crispy buckwheat waffles. They have a touch of almond flour that really helps round them off. Whether you're gluten-free or not, I think you'll love these.
