Our monthly guide provides a regular update on supplier lead times to help you plan your project. The June edition is now available here.
Avnet Abacus has seen the overall market tightening, with extended lead times for ceramic capacitors, aluminium electrolytic capacitors and chip resistors.
Other factors, such as renewed uncertainty around the global pandemic, the historical Suez canal blockade, transportation and packaging issues, extreme weather conditions, and container and raw material shortages are affecting the latest lead times for connectors, cables, relays, crystals and oscillators, power supplies and wireless modules.
The situation is like a perfect storm and will very likely not relax before beginning of 2022, and even later for some products and devices.
