The Australian Youth Orchestra live in Hobart

Hear some of Australia's best up-and-coming orchestral musicians in the Australian Youth Orchestra's first performance of 2024.

Musicians go through a rigorous audition process to be part of the orchestra, with members ranging from just 15 to 25 years old.

Broadcast live from Hobart's Federation Concert Hall, Alexandre Bloch conducts Ravel's La Valse and Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony. And hear the Australian Chamber Orchestra's Satu Vänskä as soloist in Szymanowski's Second Violin Concerto.
