Where did the sun go?🌞🌞🌞 Cloudy, warm week continues. If you miss the winter sunshine, too bad, it’ll be almost the same forecast this week as last week’s: Cloudy, foggy, but mild days. Highs Tuesday will range from the mid-teens in northwestern Minnesota to mid-20s in southern Minnesota, including the Twin Cities. Yes or no to the voter ID law? It comes back as a partisan issue -- again -- in 2020. Republicans in the Minnesota Senate want to renew their push for a voter ID law in the 2020 session ahead of Election Day, while Democrats say they have no interest. DFL Gov. Tim Walz, who would need to sign the bill for it to become law, aligns with his fellow Democrats, saying, “This is a solution looking for a problem that’s not there.” Two suspected Wuhan coronavirus cases in Minnesota tested negative. That means no cases from the recent outbreak of the new virus have been confirmed here in Minnesota. Meanwhile, the CDC on Monday confirmed new coronavirus cases in Arizona and California. For those raising their grandkids, being a grandparent isn’t always as fun as they hoped. In Minnesota, more than 70,000 grandchildren are being raised by their grandparents, and the true numbers are likely higher than that. For many grandparents looking after grandkids, it means cooking dinner for more people, setting and keeping daily routines and learning how to parent again. — Jiwon Choi, MPR News
