Among the most important lots is No. 61 Salvador Dalí, Mosquetero o arlequín genuflexo, 1925 drawing that was part of the Putrefactos book project that Dalí and Federico García Lorca conceived during their stay at the Madrid Residencia de Estudiantes and was published in Nova Revista, no 13, Barcelona, 1928 and in the catalog of Los putrefactos de Dalí y Lorca, historia y antología de un libro que no pudo ser, Publicaciones de Residencia de Estudiantes, Madrid, 1995.
Lot 62 Salvador Dalí, Collage, 1930s. During his surrealist period, Dalí was attracted to photography. Joaquim Gomis Serdañons was a Catalan photographer, collector, entrepreneur, and promoter of the arts.
In 1932 he was a founding member and the first president of the ADLAN Amics de l'Art Nou (Friends of New Art) association, who promoted artists such as Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró, Man Ray, Alexander Calder. In 1940, in collaboration with Joan Prats, Gomis published his images in Fotoscops, a series of books. His work can be associated with the Neues Sehen movement. In 1952 he was named president of the Amics de Gaudí (Friends of Gaudí) group, and from 1972 to 1975 he presided over the Fundació Joan Miró. | | | | | | Lot 121 J H Engström (Jan Henrik Engström,1969) Series Trying to dance, 2000-2004 C-Print, 50 x 70 cm, signed, vintage print, edition of 20 copies 2500 - 3500 € | | | | Lot 7 daguerreotype of Jules Itier from China Macao, Pagode des Rochers, near the port of La Barre, 1843-1844. Itier's daguerreotypes are considered the earliest preserved photographs of China. The daguerreotype comes from the collection of Gilbert Gimon, one of the discoverers of Jules Itier's photographic work. He dedicated several articles to his photographs between the late 1970s and early 1980s.
Lot 41 is an archive composed of photographs, handwritten texts compiled in a book and documents related to the activity of the photographers Antonio Otero and Enrique Colominas who ran an important photographic studio in Havana, Cuba.
There is also lot 27 an image of Burgos from 1852 by Felix Alexander Oppenheim, who took this during his trip through Spain.
