Due to our ever growing and popular timed auctions at Halls Fine Art, we have decided to debut a Timed Militaria Auction. This auction includes a good private collection of German Second World War militaria comprising helmets, visor hats, insignia and more. A number of other lots in the sale have personal backstories and interesting provenance - such as the silver cigarette case owned by a Royal Navy seaman who was killed during WW1 in the highly controversial Operation Catapult; the WW2 field campaign furniture used in Malaya and Ceylon by RAF Squadron Leader Morison; a captured Japanese prayer flag and number of personal effects owned and used by Lt-Col. Loe (Commander of the East African Army Service Corps) and a Japanese katana captured by the 10th Gurkha Rifles in Burma.
