Matt Sherwood is Perpetual’s Head of Investment Strategy, Multi Asset. In this role, Matt is responsible for monitoring, analysing and forecasting earnings growth, interest rates, currencies, economic growth and policy implications across major regions.

Matt joined Perpetual Investments in 2005 and his viewpoints and analysis of international developments are frequently sought by policymakers, opinion leaders and investors in Australia and Asia. These include television news networks such as Reuters, CNN and Bloomberg in Asia and Sky News, SBS and the ABC in Australia. His opinions have appeared in many newspapers including the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, the New York Times and Australian Financial Review.

Matt has over 20 years industry experience, he entered investment management in 1993 when he joined Perpetual Investments as an equities dealer.
From there Matt progressed to be an equities analyst and portfolio manager. From 2011 to 2015, Matt was Head of Equities at Perpetual.
Since joining Airlie in July 2016 Matt has managed Australian share strategies for institutional clients and is a portfolio manager for the Airlie Australian Share Fund for retail clients.

Chris has over 30 years of experience working as a real estate specialist with a background in investment banking, equities research and investment management. He is a co-founder of Quay Global Investors, and co-launched the Quay Global Real Estate Fund in 2014. The Fund has since won numerous awards, including the 4x winner of the Global Property Securities category at the Money Management Fund Manager of the Year Awards in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
He is experienced in equity and equity-linked capital markets transactions, M&A and debt issuance, with direct involvement in numerous cross border real estate transactions between Australia and the USA, Europe, Japan, UK, Brazil and Singapore.

Justin Tyler is a founding partner of Daintree Capital, responsible for interest rate and currency decisions.
Justin has nearly 20 years of experience in the industry. Prior to Daintree Capital, Justin was a Senior Investment Manager at Aberdeen. There, he specialised in Inflation and Interest Rate decisions and was a member of Aberdeen’s Risk Oversight Group. Justin joined Aberdeen in 2009 following the acquisition of Credit Suisse Asset Management (Australia) Limited.
Prior to Aberdeen, Justin spent over 10 years specialising in fixed income analysis and investment banking with RBC Capital Markets and Colonial First State Global Asset Management.
