Dear Friend, Welcome back to my Week in Review newsletter. Please remember to follow me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube for regular updates on how I am serving the people of South Carolina! Assessing the Nation’s Fiscal Future Democrats have spent billions of dollars this year, and Americans are paying the price — literally. This week, I teamed up with Senator Steve Daines (R-Mont.), and other Republican members of the Senate Committees on Banking and Finance demanding a swift and thorough assessment of the short- and long-term effects of the Democrats’ reckless spending and inflationary policies. The story of our nation is a story of redemption—a lesson this group of students are putting to practice. Each student at St. Mary Help of Christians helped bake over 5,000 cookies for people incarcerated at Broad River Correctional Institution. Joan LaBone, the school’s youth director said it is her goal to teach students about acts of helping and having a personal connection. Thank you, Ms. LaBone and the students of St. Mary Help of Christians for reminding us of the importance of serving one another! Read more about their work here! Sincerely, |
