BUENOS AIRES (AGENCIA CTYS-UNLAM ).- This specimen had a skull of only four centimeters. Dr. Federico Agnolin, researcher at the Argentine Museum of Natural Sciences (MACN) and CONICET, told the CTyS-UNLaM Agency that "this new species is an ancestor, a kind of grandfather of the dinosaurs and, by the shape of its teeth, we interpreted that it fed on insects that it captured nimbly among the ancient Texan forests ". After the great extinction of the Permian - the greatest extinction the Earth has ever known - a new era began, the Triassic period, and in which the dinosaurs originated. But dinosaurs did not dominate the world with ease and it took them millions of years to reach gigantic sizes. PARIS.- On the upcoming 14 December, auction house Binoche et Giquello will offer a rare Fang byeri among an African and Oceanic sale. The exceptional nature of this reliquary statue lies in the choice of a female bust. Its thick patina illustrates its age and its rare quality overall. The figure is one of the 20 remaining Fang busts, of which only a handful of models are female. This votive statue was used at the beginning of the 19th century for ancestral cult. It was then brought to France during the 20th century by a colonial administrator. It is estimated between 1 and 1,5 among the sale which includes 60 lots for a global estimate of 3 to 3,5M. ROME (AFP).- The Leaning Tower of Pisa is now stable and has even straightened slightly thanks to engineering work to save the world-renowned tourist attraction, experts said on Wednesday The tower's Surveillance Group -- set up to monitor restoration progress -- said in a statement that after 17 years of observation "the Tower of Pisa is stable and very slowly reducing its lean." Engineering Professor Nunziante Squeglia of Pisa University said that the 57-metre (186-feet) monument had straightened by four centimetres (1.5 inches), Italian media reported. The so-called Surveillance Group was set up after Michele Jamiolkowski, an engineer of Polish origin who adopted Italian nationality, coordinated an international committee to rescue the landmark between 1993 and 2001. After two years of work, the museum in Amsterdam unveiled a fresh look on Thursday to make it more relevant to young people who may lack knowledge about World War II, in an era when hate crimes are soaring. LIVERPOOL.- Tate Liverpool presents the first museum exhibition in the UK of South Korean artists Moon Kyungwon and Jeon Joonho (both b.1969). Their new film, Anomaly Strolls 2018, commissioned for the gallery, responds to Liverpool, and is being shown alongside the acclaimed video work, El Fin del Mundo (The End of the World) 2012. Both films form part of the ongoing project News from Nowhere which was initiated in 2009. News from Nowhere takes its name and inspiration from the satirical 1890 novel by designer, writer, and socialist activist, William Morris (18341896). LONDON.- Pace Gallery is presenting sympathetic resonance, an exhibition of new work by Canadian artist Brent Wadden at 6 Burlington Gardens. The exhibition is on view from 22 November 2018 to 10 January 2019. Working on backstrap and floor looms, Wadden creates his large-scale work by weaving linear and abstract forms that he then stretches over raw canvas. In an extremely rare appearance of the artists work at auction, her exquisite painting The Little Girl in Blue has re-merged eighty years after it was last seen in public.
