Hi everyone! Happy November! Holiday time begins! We better get going, if we haven’t yet! ( I am including myself in this, big time!)

The shop will be closed for Thanksgiving celebrations with family and friends on Wednesday, November 21st and Thursday, November 22nd.
We'll re-open on Friday, November 23rd with Black Friday specials and Saturday, November 24th with even more specials for Small Business Saturday!

Here’s what’s just in!

Wednesday, November 14th at 1 p.m. –

“Simple Wire Creations!” Very fun new class with Jo! Jo loves to create simple, fun, unique art from wire, wood, burlap and whatever materials inspire her at the moment! She says that everything has the potential to become something beautiful! Class fee is $20.00. Samples are here at the shop in the front window. Please preregister and prepay. Here are some words from Jo –

“When I get an idea for a project, I go to all the unusual places to find inspiration. What I often find instead, are day-long assignments that rarely suit my needs for instant gratification. So, I set out to find the quickest, simplest, fun way to create what I envision – without a fully stocked she-shed and PhD’s in patience and meticulousness.”
“If your grandmother didn’t teach you to sew, you’ve been known to throw an instruction manual across the room, or you didn’t exactly ace Home Ec, then my classes are definitely for you! Everyone is welcome to join in and show the rest of us a stitch or two. Simple stitch, of course…”

“Quick & Easy Christmas Mini- Projects!” Come play with us! See what we have going on for papercrafted holiday gift giving! Class fee is $5.00. Please preregister, prepay and bring your basic kit, including adhesive. Thanks!

Well, it seems that it’s about that time again, when some of our favorite
friends will be headed south! Sure will miss you and look forward to catching up with you again next year!

If you would like to keep up with some of our classes that you see online on our class schedule, we will have an option for you! We will be taking names, emails, addresses and phone numbers of those of you that would like monthly kits mailed to you! There will be a mailing (6 card kits) of our “Thursdays at 1!” class ! “Thursdays at 1!” kits will be $35.00 (for the 6 card kits). Kits will be sent for the months of November/ December. Please let us know by the 1st of each month so that we know how many to prepare for… thank you! Please prepay by stopping in the shop, by cash, check or charge card. (Samples will be on fb, or I can text pics to you if you do not do fb)

“FREE Make & Takes!” Come join us for some wonderful classes featuring paper crafting! Autumn, holidays and all-occasion cards on the agenda! It‘s a FREE class, truly! You don’t need to sign up and you don’t need to bring a thing! Let’s play!

Thursday, November 8th, 15th and 29th at 1 p.m. –
Thursdays, December 6th, 13th and 20th at 1 p.m. –
“Thursdays at 1!” class is fun! This week we feature Autumn leaves and then Christmas and winter holiday cards! Very fun! This Thursday will be our “Autumn Kit Class!” featuring Tim’s Alcohol Ink and his Lift Ink! “Quick & Easy Christmas Cards!” will begin Thursday, November 15th and continue through December 20th. Samples will be on display at the shop and on fb. Class fee is $5.00. Please preregister, prepay, and bring your basic kit, including adhesive. Items to purchase for your basic kit are available here at the Art Room if you need them…

Our “Bookmaking Class!” is the last Tuesday of every month. It is scheduled for Tuesday, November 27th at 1 p.m. We always have a new, fun book to create! Class fee is $20.00. Please preregister, prepay and bring your basic kit, including adhesive.

Anjelica stops by the shop every week or two and brings some awesome additions to her “Vintage Wardrobe!” Come see all the unique, one-of-a-kind vintage hats! Perfect for holidays, weekends, weddings or any time at all! Stop by and try on one of these beauties! She also has many lovely floral dresses and gorgeous vintage jewelry and accessories! You don't want to miss out on any of these classic styles….

There’s lots of new handmade seasonal jewelry here at the shop from Mary and Sue! Come see!

When asked to bring your “basic kit” to class, that includes your:
bone folder
ruler
personal paper cutter
brayer
uhu glue stick
tombow or art glitter liquid glue
pop dots
1/8 th inch, ¼ inch and/or ½ inch double stick tape
Archival Jet Black permanent ink pad
sanding tool/ sandpaper
scissor/detail scissor
scotch tape
exacto knife
old shirt or apron to get messy
If you do not have all supplies, we have them available for purchase.
