Best way to deal with a crisis? Grow snowdrops
 
Whilst on my knees planting some snowdrops one day this week my attention was drawn to a rustling noise behind me. I looked round and found myself facing a great cloud of dried leaves, obviously coming from the copper beech nearby. By the following day that section of the garden was a carpet of crispy leaves with the tree looking a bit more naked than it had been the day before.
