BY DEANNA B. NARVESON | Staff writer Five days after at least one tornado and severe weather crashed south Louisiana, power was mostly back Monday but cleanup is still underway. Gov. Jeff Landry spent the day surveilling the damage wreaked by the storms in in East and West Feliciana parishes before taking a helicopter down to Slidell where high winds and another tornado ravaged hundreds of homes. The recent arrest of 28-year-old Kevontae Reed, a man whose rap sheet includes repeated accusations of sex crimes involving minors, exemplifies the difficulty in prosecuting human trafficking. Witnesses are often nervous to testify, meaning attorneys must painstakingly sift through text messages, photos, social media accounts and other information to build a case.
