The French government has announced that a search mission commissioned at the beginning of 2019 has discovered a submarine that was lost at sea in 1968. The Minerve, which had 52 sailors aboard, was found in the Mediterranean Sea roughly 30 miles from the coast of southern France, but the cause of its disappearance is still unknown.
