Voting rights are under assault in America. There are more than 250 bills to restrict access to voting
pending in 43 states, according to Wendy Weiser, vice president for democracy at the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law. "This is far greater and much more intense than what we've seen at any time in the last decade," she says. She compares the current climate to the Jim Crow Era.
