NATIONAL: The Society of Women Engineers’ WE20 announced it will now launch as a two-week virtual conference and career fair set for Nov. 2-13. The event will feature more than 200 professional development sessions, a four-day career fair, daily yoga, and virtual networking. Registration provides access to all the meeting content for a full year. The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) will host Convening Asia Pacific—The Global Recovery Forum, a one-day hybrid event to support business event industry recovery. Taking place Nov. 10, the livestreamed event will feature workshops to build the practical skills and knowledge event professionals and businesses need to be successful in the recovery phase of the industry. LAS VEGAS: MGM Resorts International announced that Park MGM and NoMad Las Vegas will reopen on Sept. 30, completing the reopening of all of its properties worldwide following closures amid the COVID-19 crisis. The two properties open their doors as the Strip’s first fully smoke-free casino resort. NEW YORK: Served Up, a free, public event series that celebrates individuality, supports community, and tackles retro-norms, will launch on Sept. 30 with Served Up Presents Intertwined. The event will be held at Culture Labs LIC, and feature local eats; specialty drinks; a Q&A diving into growth, empathy, and human connection; live performances; giveaways; and more. WASHINGTON, D.C.: The Yards is celebrating the new school year and supporting local restaurants with its Back to The Yards! initiative on Sept. 25 from 5-8 p.m., or while supplies last. Younger Yards guests will receive a free box of school supplies when they dine-in or pick up takeout from any Yards Restaurant.
