| | Our Annual Report 2021 is out! 2021 was the second full calendar year of our Making Water Count programme. Despite restrictions, uncertainties and challenges globally, our portfolio grew from €19.44 million (2020) to €51.84 million, consisting of our own funds and leveraged co-funding. With 50 new contracts, the total number of new initiatives funded rose to 95 since the start of Making Water Count in mid-2019. In 2021, we built a pipeline of enterprises and developed blended finance initiatives that will be funded in 2022.
We look forward to making 2022 another successful year with regard to transforming the water and sanitation sector into an inclusive and sustainable economy. |

| | Impact-Linked Fund for WASH: call for applications
Aqua for All and Roots of Impact have launched the Impact-Linked Fund for Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (ILF for WASH). Enterprises raising repayable investments are invited to apply for receiving Social Impact Incentives (SIINC) – outcome-based payments that reward enterprises for creating impact. By using Impact-Linked Finance and providing “better terms for better impact”, these WASH enterprises get equipped to grow their businesses, expand the reach of their solutions, and create impact at scale.
Selected enterprises will receive regular reward payments of up to EUR 250,000, depending on the level of impact achieved and verified. Find out more and apply before Sunday, 10 July 2022 here. |
| | | Dji Ni Sanya acceleration programme launched in Mali Aqua for All has launched the Dji Ni Sanya acceleration programme in Mali aiming at strengthening 8-10 PMEs in the Malinese water and sanitation sector. Participants will be selected by a call for applications and enterprises need to be formally registered and active in the water and sanitation sector in Mali. Applications are open until Sunday, 4 June 2022 at midnight GMT. Learn more and apply here. |

| | "Access to water is an enabler for the entire international agenda"
In 2022, Aqua for All celebrates 20 years working towards safeguarding access to clean water and safe sanitation for all. Along this way, our organisation has been supported by Inclusive Green Growth (IGG), a Directorate of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. IGG oversees the Dutch international cooperation policy in the fields of water, food security, climate, and energy. On this special occasion, we interviewed Karin Roelofs, Head of the Water Team at the department of IGG, who is a valuable advisor and partner for our organisation. As the first World Water Forum held in Sub-Saharan Africa, it was a historic event.
