| Standing in Grace We had a wonderful evening at our Annual Banquet on Tuesday, April 23rd, celebrating what the Lord has done and is continuing to do through the ministries of The Joy House. 450+ people gathered at YoungLife's beautiful SharpTop Cove for this inspiring event. Approximately $50,000 was raised this evening to go towards our Operating Fund and we are incredibly grateful. We couldn't have done this without the support of our table hosts and community advocates that continue to share about our ministry with others. We are eternally grateful and continue to celebrate the truth of God's word... "Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God." Romans 5:2 ESV Below are some highlights from the evening. We hope you will take a short moment to view these and consider sharing them with someone else who wasn't able to attend the banquet. |

A Picture of Restoration... |
|
| This is a picture of restoration. Pictured above are Joy House Residential Program graduate, Tyler, and his mother. At one point, Tyler thought there was no hope for his family relationships. At the banquet, we were blessed to hear Tyler share a little about his story and how God used The Joy House to change his life. We hope you will take a moment to watch this video from our banquet as Tyler answers some questions about his journey at The Joy House with his former houseparent, Richard Metcalf. |

Full Home Inspires a New Goal... |
|
At our banquet, Executive Director, Steve Lowe, shared that our Girl's Home is currently full, and yet we continue to receive call after call of families in need looking to find a resource for their daughters. We eagerly want the opportunity to meet the needs of these families. Our "Second Home for Second Chances" Campaign has made headway with $425,000 currently given or pledged. We are believing that with your help, we will bring that number to $600,000 by July 2019 so that we can break ground in 2019 to build our second Girl's Home, opening up seven more slots for teen girls. Will you join us on this mission? You can join us by helping us spread the word, spearheading a "Fill a House to Build a House" spare change campaign at your office, church or civic organization, or by giving online today. For more information, please feel free to e-mail [email protected]. |

Our residents did a wonderful job assisting Ms. Ali with making the "Grace" signs for the banquet table centerpieces. At the end of the night, we offered for any of our guests that had brought a meal to one of our homes, tutored at The Joy House Academy, provided respite houseparenting or assisted with banquet set-up to take them home with them as a token of our appreciation. |
