The average museum visitor spends less than 30 seconds with a single work of art. On April 6, museums around the world will celebrate Slow Art Day, which encourages us all to find joy in close, careful looking.
This year, we’re marking the occasion with a guided mindfulness meditation in our galleries.

Take it slow this whole month with an in-depth, hour-long architectural or exhibition tour. Members tours offer museum access outside of our regular hours; and student guides offer their insights on the collections nearly every weekend through May.
