| Greetings! In recognition of National Apprenticeship Week, HACC, Central Pennsylvania’s Community College, is proud to partner with local industry leaders to provide pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeships to Central Pennsylvania’s workforce. With an aging, retiring workforce and no dedicated pipeline of “ready-to-work” individuals, manufacturers in Central Pennsylvania and across the country are realizing there will likely be approximately 2.4 million jobs that remain unfilled over the next decade. HACC is innovating to provide ways to fill that skills gap before jobs leave our region. Did you know? HACC is proud to be the first community college in Pennsylvania to provide an apprenticeship program in advanced manufacturing. Last year, HACC worked with nearly 500 local employers to upskill their employees. HACC students participate in apprenticeships, internships and externships that set them up for career success. |
