How Netanyahu's judicial plan sparked massive unrest in Israel

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's proposed judicial overhaul has unleashed Israel's most intense social unrest in decades.

Tens of thousands of people have repeatedly taken to the streets against the plan — including spontaneous mass demonstrations that erupted across the country late Sunday after he fired his defense minister for questioning the overhaul.

The unrest showed no signs of slowing Monday. Israel's largest trade union declared a general strike – paralyzing the country's international airport – and thousands gathered outside parliament for another day of protests. The union joins business leaders, bank chiefs, fighter pilots, military reservists, academics, former security commanders, and other influential sectors of society in coming out against the plan.

Netanyahu delayed a speech to the nation while he huddled with advisers and coalition partners to determine his next move.

Why AOC is suddenly against a TikTok ban

On Saturday, Democratic New York congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez downplayed concerns that the Chinese government could use the TikTok social media app to spy on Americans, breaking with growing bipartisan support for a ban of the app.

Ocasio-Cortez's tweet comes as TikTok has launched a massive PR and lobbying campaign to prevent a ban on the app.

The Chinese government may use the video-sharing app TikTok to spy on Americans and spread pro-Beijing propaganda, according to American intelligence officials.

Man breaks into daycare and expresses his wish to be a baby girl

A breaking and entering situation at a daycare in Clarkson, New York took a rather bizarre turn when daycare staff and local law enforcement began looking into the incident.

After the first break-in, daycare staff said the suspect left $120 and a note that asked if they would purchase adult sized diapers so he could fulfill his wish of being a baby girl. In the note, he reportedly asked staff to “play along” with his wishes.

The man broke in again a few nights later and rummaged through the diaper bin in the center. When he didn’t find adult diapers, he left more money and another note. This note reportedly included the sizes he would need for pants, shoes, bras and dresses. He also referred to himself as “baby Danielle” in the note.

The man broke in yet again a few days later, but this time what they found on the security camera footage was extremely disturbing.

Scientists have discovered a supermassive black hole that now faces Earth

As if Mondays aren’t hard enough. Scientists have recently revealed that a supermassive black hole is currently facing our solar system. 

“We started to study this galaxy as it showed peculiar properties. Our hypothesis was that the relativistic jet of its supermassive black hole had changed its direction, and to confirm that idea we had to carry out a lot of observations,” said Dr. Lorena Hernández-García.

The galaxy, which is nearly 40 times the size of the Milky Way, is about 657 million light years away. It was previously classified as a radio galaxy, but now scientists say that it has rotated 90 degrees and is pointing its center towards Earth.

So what’s believed to have caused the shift and how will it affect our galaxy?
