Alaina Wood is a sustainability scientist, climate communicator, and TikTok influencer. Known as "The Garbage Queen" on social media, her videos — with series like "Good Climate News" — have amassed nearly ten million likes. We recently caught up with her about the importance of imperfect sustainability, her advice for dealing with climate doom, and what makes social media a good place to talk about environmental issues. Wood will be speaking in the 2022 program track, Heat.

Tickets to Individual Events in Aspen
Discover black holes with astrophysicist Janna Levin, dig deep into Title IX with Olympic skier Eileen Gu, learn about dark money and Putin’s Russia with Bill Browder, hear from actress and bestselling author Selma Blair, and join PBS host Kelly Corrigan for a double-header live taping with Katie Couric and Neal Katyal. These incredible sessions and more are available to the public for $30. Tickets to the Afternoon of Conversation, the signature event of the Aspen Ideas Festival, are $150. Special guests will be announced soon.
