ANC remains in the lead as over 70% of votes have been counted

The ANC is still leading the charge having obtained 6 789 118 or 57 percent of the votes captured by the Electoral Commission of SA.

 
ANC ahead in majority of provinces, Gauteng and KZN still close

The African National Congress had seemingly wrapped up victories in six of South Africa's nine provinces by Friday morning.
