NARVESON | Staff Writer Location, location, location: The location of a long awaited new Mississippi River bridge aimed at easing traffic congestion won’t be clear until the third quarter of 2025 — late summer or early fall of 2025 — state officials said Monday. Two months ago they said it would be revealed earlier in 2025, but now the project is already a year behind schedule. The span would connect La. 30 on the east side of the river and La. 1 on the west side. The goal is to relieve routine traffic tie-ups on the other two Mississippi River bridges in Baton Rouge, especially the 1-10 bridge. Read the full story.
