Dear Supporter,

Discover another incredible win we've secured for people and nature. We've only got one home (our amazing planet!) and it's up to us to help protect it.

Great news for Pirin National Park!

WWF and other NGOs in the 'For the Nature' coalition have won a second important court case against the government of Bulgaria’s plans to open this UNESCO World Heritage site up to development.
Pirin National Park, located in Bulgaria, is a habitat for hundreds of animal and plant species, thousands of acres of green forests, crystal clear streams and icy lakes. It's also where you can find one of Bulgaria's most beautiful mountain ranges.

This makes the park a natural treasure that belongs not just to the Balkans but to the entire world, including you.

Earlier this year, Pirin's rich diversity of life was put in jeopardy when plans were drafted to make way for new construction of ski infrastructure and logging in 60% of the national park.

But with your help and our amazing partners, we've managed to safeguard this important place from these grave threats. Together, anything is possible!

Rangers: On the front line of protecting wildlife
