Using artificial intelligence in hiring processes can "cause unintended disparate effects on protected classes and place employers at risk for discrimination claims," notes labor law firm SmithAmundsen. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is already looking into two cases, with more likely to pop up even though the practice has not been addressed by federal legislation.
