Dear Forward Supporter,

Today, we’re announcing a groundbreaking step for the Forward. And since you’re one of our loyal readers, we want you to be one of the first to know.

We’ve taken down the Forward’s paywall. Read why we did this here.

That means that for the first time in our 126-year history, Forward journalism will be free and available to everyone everywhere. We’re taking this step because during this chaotic moment of war, disinformation and rising antisemitism, we believe that open access to all our independent Jewish journalism is essential.

Although Forward journalism is now free to read, it isn’t free to produce. You can support our nonprofit newsroom when you become a Forward member with a tax-deductible donation of any size. Membership comes with special benefits at each level of support that connect you to our journalism and community.

Access to information is central to our mission, especially during this critical time. Now more than ever, American Jews need news they can trust, with reporting driven by truth, not ideology.
