Sip of Science: Music, molecular cocktails and cutting-edge research We bet those are three things you never expected to see in the same headline. But that's the Crick for you. The biomedical research centre is famed for its interdisciplinary approach, and that spills over into its evening socials. Everyone (over 18) is welcome to Sip of Science, a FREE after-dark event at the Francis Crick Institute on Wednesday 27 September. Boogie along to DJ Talia A. Darling while you try your hand at mini zine making with ArtiZine. Best of all, you can enjoy the Crick's latest exhibition, Cut + Paste, which explores the future of genome editing. "You'll want to grab someone and say "What do you think?"," according to our reviewer. Crick scientists will be on hand to discuss genome research, perhaps while you sip a free molecular cocktail. The Francis Crick Institute could hardly be easier to get to. Head out the western doors of St Pancras station, and there it is. It's not only one of Europe's largest and leading biomed centres, it's also a great place for everyone to learn about the key scientific issues that will affect our future. Have a think, have a drink, and have your say at Sip of Science. Wed 27 Sept, 6-8pm, FREE |
