For the launch of its new visual identity, Surfrider Foundation Europe is rethinking the entire production cycle of its collections, from the choice of fibers to the final product.

The fashion industry is one of the most polluting in the world, with multiple impacts on water, agriculture and human beings. The textile sector, which is constantly growing, makes extensive use of plastics for fibers, labels and packaging.

Polyester, a more affordable petroleum-based raw material than natural fibers such as cotton, linen or hemp, is now everywhere in our closets, releasing microplastics that flow into the ocean and enter our food chain with each wash.

At Surfrider Europe, we have been committed for several years to the fight against single-use plastics, both in the field and also with our shop, by shipping your orders without unique packaging.

Being in line with our values - dedication, authenticity and respect for the ocean - has led us to collaborate with a shop sensitive to our struggles: based in Portugal near Porto, we visited its fabrication shop a few months ago.

Visiting behind the scenes of our collection production allowed us to meet the people who create our t-shirts and sweaters, in a work environment that respects their rights.

You choose to support us by displaying our values, so it was important for us to work with a partner that uses 100% organic cotton, produced locally and sustainably.

As our partner is committed to minimizing its daily environmental impact, we know that you will wear clothing that is not only respectful of your skin but also of the environment and the ocean.
