| Apply for the 2025 OPEN at ATELIER today! Entries are coming in for the 2025 OPEN at Atelier, and we are getting excited for this summer's exhibition already. Apply today and you could be part of this creative cornucopia at our beachside gallery. You can enter up to four artworks with almost any subject and in any medium and - as long as it fits in the gallery - you might just see you work here at Atelier. Open to applications from anyone over the age of 16, last year we exhibited 250 artwork by 130 artists! The show will be open daily from 24th July – 14th September and enjoyed by thousands of visitors. The deadline for submissions is midnight on the 30th May. | Drawing from the Senses Join Katie Sollohub on Friday 25th April 2025 for a new course here at the arches. As the days get warmer, and summer is just around the corner, spend a day by the sea, drawing with your whole body alive and awake to your surroundings. Guided by mindful meditation and some simple movement exercises to heighten your awareness, you will be encouraged to draw with all your senses, often with your eyes shut! This will experimental and meditative workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities. You do not need any drawing experience, just a willingness to be curious and open to the process. | February favourites It's been a grey old February so far, and we're longing for the return of the sun. But it's not all doom and gloom. These chilly months mean less crowds to contend with on the beach, and bigger, more invigorating waves - and maybe whales - to watch. Plus it's the perfect time to wear fantastic knitwear by the likes of Jo Cranston, and to visit this delightful Snow Man by The Stealthy Rabbit, currently featuring in our FOLK exhibition here at Atelier.
