Palm Beach: Black & White — In honor of Black History Month, Augustus Mayhew reminds us of the rich black history of Palm Beach Pictured here, The Styx, was an established Black settlement located one block north of Main Street extending from the lakefront east to the ocean. Tony’s Cigar Store and other storefronts lined a central path that became known as Palm Beach Avenue, later renamed North County Road.
