The Algarve is famed for its stunning beaches and scenery. The beaches in and around Carvoeiro are a superb mix of blue ocean and the white sand, with wonderful hidden caves waiting to be explored. Carvoeiro is a small but popular resort which boasts various shops, restaurants and cafes - ideally situated for family fun days out. If you have something a little more relaxing in mind, then a trip to Silves is a lovely day out with its Moorish castle and riverside walks. A walk around the castle walls allows you to have a bird's eye view of the town and surrounding countryside and there are lots of pavement cafés to refresh yourself at afterwards.
