Happy Friday. Here are the results of this week's SN poll.

Dollar General has become the second retailer to try cashierless technology at one of its stores. The discount retailer says plans are to watch and learn from the process that was first put in place in Amazon Go stores. However, the technology has not taken off in the grocery sector.

We asked:

Do you think tech like what is used in Amazon Go stores will mark the end of human cashiers, or will it be some form of self-checkout?

And you answered:
It will be self-checkout tech (81%)
It will be Amazon Go tech (13%)
Other (6%)

And you said:
Terri Hoggatt, Senior Director, Jelly Belly Candy Co.
Demographics will determine where self checkout will be successful and where Amazon Go Tech can be utilized.

Victor Aranda, Business Development Executive, Prairie State Gaming, Penn National Gaming
I predict that the [Dollar General] store will close. They have poor shelf management and a lack of variety of products.
