However, as Chinese investors are beginning to realise, Southeast Asia is not a homogenous place, and each country has its own set of laws and regulations. We speak to lawyers in different countries to find out more. | FEATURE: LITIGATION A recent survey by the Singapore Academy of Law has found that “awareness of choosing Singapore law as governing law for cross-border transactions” is on the rise, with a quarter of respondents selecting it as their preferred choice for law governing contracts. We talk to lawyers about some of the benefits of using Singapore law, and why the popularity is growing. |
