Freshfields, Linklaters advise on M&G's $1.1 bln partnership with Dai-ichi Life

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has advised UK-based financial services company M&G on its entry into a long-term strategic partnership with Dai-ichi Life Holdings, while Linklaters represented the Japanese life insurance giant in the transaction.
The partnership, valued at a reported $1.1 billion, establishes M&G as Dai-ichi's preferred asset management partner in Europe, and sees the Japanese insurer acquire a significant 15 percent stake in M&G.
