| Follow Up: Community mourning after tragic house fire claims lives of married couple in Wasilla Family and friends are boarding up a home on Terrell Drive in Wasilla after a house fire claimed the lives of Terry and Emma Mason. "This was a difficult fire to fight. It was a one story with a full basement. And the fire was in the basement. And the floor collapsed. So it took us a while to finish extinguishing the fire and conducting the search," explained Michael Keenan, Mat-Su Fire Chief for District 1. Terry and Emma were married with three kids. Terry had ongoing health issues. "And suffering from cancer for the last two years and he had brain surgery and he started out with lung cancer," said Rebecca Lemieux, Terry's sister. Most recently, Terry was given the good news that he had no new cancers. Sadly, the initial phone call about the fire to relatives was one they could never forget. | VIDEO: More than 70 firefighters called to fight massive fire at Arizona warehouse Phoenix firefighters battled a massive third-alarm blaze in at a warehouse early Wednesday morning. Phoenix fire officials tell Arizona's Family that crews were called out to 13th Avenue and Roosevelt Street just after midnight. When firefighters arrived, they found massive flames and large plumes of smoke billowing from a warehouse in the area. Officials believe that warehouse is used as a liquidation distributor for drug and grocery products. Crews immediately upgraded the call to a first-alarm to ensure adequate resources to fight the blaze, but as firefighting efforts continued, crews ultimately had to call a third-alarm as more than 70 firefighters were forced to respond. Video from the scene showed authorities still working to put out hotspots as the fire was still smoldering more than 6 hours after the initial call. The Belfield Volunteer Fire Department is putting on its yearly haunted house fundraiser on Main Street. "There's maybe one or two things that are the same, but everything else is completely different than it was last year," Ashley Gross, volunteer firefighter said. "We took it down last year and then we rebuilt it." She said people aged six to 80 volunteer to make the event a success. Gross has been volunteering for the project for more than a decade, she said. There are 25 to 35 people who come together every year to put on the event. Volunteer firefighter Kevin Anderson said that's one of the scariest parts of the project: "the fact that we found that many people that can pull off weird."
