Thursday’s first flight of the Airbus A350-1000 marks the start of a flight test campaign and certification process that is scheduled to conclude before the end of 2017.
The company had originally planned to fly the prototype, 39-8, by the end of the year, but has elected to push the first flight into the second quarter of 2017.
