Governments around the world are concerned that TikTok is spying on users at the behest of China, where TikTok's parent ByteDance is based. No wonder then that governments around the world are barring their lawmakers from using and installing the app on their official phones. The U.S. government is also considering restricting or banning TikTok across the country, similar to a ban imposed on Huawei.
