The new tool from Aussie start-up giant Employment Hero might just disrupt the likes of Seek and other pay-to-advertise roles with its ability to turn a job search inside out and offer up candidates immediately. While AI might be able to find a ‘needle in a haystack’, there’s a strong argument for why it shouldn’t be used to interview candidates. Gen Z are now being screened by artificial intelligence using CV scanners, automated video interviews and online computer games to sort candidates. Some are even asked to play online personality games while others beg their flatmates to keep quiet while they answer questions conducted by a robot. Meanwhile, who is Australia’s greatest Prime Minister? It would be Gough Whitlam, according to Meta’s new artificial intelligence tool, which has also ranked Julia Gillard and Malcolm Turnbull among the top five.
