Procreate CEO James Cuda has spoken of his concerns regarding the use of generative AI in the creative industry. Responding to a question on social media about whether the company is planning to bring generative-AI features to the illustration app, Cuda didn’t hold back. "I really f***ing hate generative AI,” he said in a video response. "I don't like what’s happening in the industry and I don’t like what it’s doing to artists. Audio gear maker Fiio offers a trip down memory lane if you have a bunch of old cassette tapes gathering dust in a closet or in the attic. Digital Trends recently went hands-on with the retro CP13 portable cassette player, which comes with a reasonable $100 price tag. The device measures 4.7 inches by 3.4 inches by 1.25 inches and weighs 11 ounces. It comes in red-and-silver, sky blue, and white-and-black options, all with a matte aluminum body that feels premium. Joker star Joaquin Phoenix had wanted to take his character, Arthur Fleck, onto the Broadway stage in a show involving jokes and singing, according to the movie’s director, Todd Phillips. Phillips told Variety that Phoenix wanted him to help in the project, but then reality set in. “When we started really thinking about it, we realized it takes four years to put something like that together,” Phillips said. “And is Joaquin really going to give six months of his life to do that every night onstage? Eight years after the launch of Civilization 6, the highly anticipated next installment of the award-winning strategy game franchise finally has a launch date: February 11. “Whether you choose to follow a path rooted in history or reimagine possibilities to chart your own way forward, build something you believe in, and create a legacy that echoes through the ages in Civilization 7,” the game’s blurb says. The standard edition of Civilization 7 costs $70 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox, and $60 on Nintendo Switch and PC. A deluxe edition is available for $100 on PS5 and Xbox, and $90 on Switch and PC.
