After years of chasing traffic on social platforms, millennial-focused publisher Mic has changed its approach, measuring editorial content by time spent rather than view counts and publishing half as much to Facebook as it did a year ago.

To get people more interested in Watch shows, Facebook will test running trailers in users' news feeds that preview these programs.

As part of a renewal of an original content and advertising deal, Viacom and Snap are working together to create new shows that would feature top Snapchat stars.
