S.C. Stimulus Research Program announces 2020 projects

Under the S.C. Stimulus Research Program, state universities are delving into projects ranging from replacing damaged blood vessels to transcending the boundaries of lithium ion batteries.

Upstate Forever was awarded a $75,000 grant by the Hollingsworth Fund, while Cherokee County's Red Cross branch is sending volunteers to Louisiana to assist with relief efforts following the imapct of Category 4 Hurricane Laura. Up to to 5,000 people were given emergency housing on Wednesday through the Red Cross.
