In this presentation, Jan will look at the pros and cons and challenges of transitioning to an AoIP solution. The term 'pro audio industry' covers a wide range of users, from small music studios to large-scale post-production facilities, and we will cover the benefits and challenges for these different types of users, backed up by real case stories.

Producer and audio engineer, James Richmond, runs two MOM monitor controller units alongside his MTRX in a studio environment that is geared toward music production. Based on his realworld and firsthand experience with MOM, he published this review on Pro Tools Expert. And he appear to like the workflow that these flexible devices provide, as he concludes:

"MOM is an excellent and well-thought-out solution for controlling the MTRX’s monitoring capabilities. I see it primarily as something that is in addition to the Avid Dock and Avid Control rather than a replacement for it. MOM has changed my way of working in the studio. OK, this video isn't about audio-routing or conversion as such. Sure, the tech setup does include an AX32 and a MOM, but the point here is really that sometimes, it's also nice to just zoom out and enjoy the result of great talent captured, using great gear.
