South Carolina’s aerospace industry continued to drive employment and economic growth at a much higher rate than most other manufacturing sectors in the state aside from the auto industry, according to a study released today at the S.C. Manufacturing Conference by the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business.
The S.C. Ports Authority’s first shipment of cranes for the Hugh K. Leatherman Terminal arrived in port Monday. The vessel carrying the cranes will dock at Columbus Street Terminal for two days while they are reconfigured.
